I went with my friend @talentdiva to see Carla Hall at her book signing for her new book Cooking with Love: Comfort Food that Hugs You*
We all fell in love with Carla Hall during Season 5 of Top Chef. Hootie Hoo! She comes across as a girlfriend that we have always known because she is so relatable. She was voted as the “Fan Favorite” so it was no surprise when she was chosen to be part of the cast for The Chew.
Carla talked about her beginnings as a caterer and what things inspired her to want to cook. She told us many humorous stories about her journey to where she is now. During the Q&A, I asked her what plans she had for the future, and do you know what she said she wants to do? Carla said she would love to be on Dancing With The Stars! If there is a write-in option, I think we should all recommend her for the show.
Carla also said she is working on a line of frozen hors d’oeuvres that can be purchased, reheated, and served at home. I suggested that she do a yoga exercise DVD. She is an avid practitioner of yoga, and her posture is amazing. I would love to design something for her to wear.
I plan to try several of the recipes from her book, especially her CORNBREAD! so look for me to share them here.
