We will begin allowing shoppers the opportunity to round up their purchases to support the mission + plan to showcase our community accomplishments in the store as well.
We also plan to begin offering formal event attire rentals in 2nd quarter of 2020.
Discussion Topic Questions
TB: One of my areas of focus is decision making for women. I share the tips, tools and tricks women can use to make their best choices. How did you get clarity to decide what type of business you wanted to create?
AO: It just felt right….My business entails everything that I am into: fashion, dĂ©cor, furniture. I love reupholstering and repurposing pieces, I get to decorate the showroom everyday and play dress up with our inventory. In thinking of what business opportunity to pursue, I also knew that there had to be a social element because I love meeting people — the relationships I have been able to cultivate with my customers in the short time that we have been open has been unbelievably fulfilling. You know the saying “Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life” … well this ain’t that. I work harder than I have ever worked in my life because I LOVE what I do. It’s hard … and it’s work … but it’s mine … ????
TB:Â What tools or strategies do you use to help you make your best business decisions?Â
AO: Market research. There really is no better way to prepare yourself than to be proactive instead of reactive. I research everything from retail stats and competitors to inventory logistics and fashion trend in an effort to not be caught off guard and to ensure I am well informed as my business continues to grow.
TB:Â Do you have any tips for time management?
AO: No. I need some though…lol.
TB: Ansa, I thank you so much for allowing me to share you and your business. I wish you great success.
