12 Nov Craft a Positive “I AM” Statement
Join me in the 11.11 Mindful Money Challenge where I am saving $111 in 11 days. I am also meditating on specific focus words and creating 11 new “I AM” statements.
“I AM” statement affirmations are powerful self-affirming declarations designed to shape your mindset and actions positively. A successful affirmation uses:
- Present tense: An “I AM” statement is crafted in the present tense, as if what is desired already exists or is in the process of coming into being. This reinforces the belief that it’s happening right now or becoming true.
- First-person perspective: An “I AM” statement is about you—from your own perspective. Using “I AM” emphasizes personal ownership and belief in the statement.
- Positive and empowering: An “I AM” statement is framed positively, and is focused on what you want to achieve or embody instead of what you want to avoid. It’s designed to inspire and empower.
- Specific and clear: Clarity is essential. The statement should clearly refer to the specific trait, behavior, or state of being you want to possess.
- Emotion and belief: Engaging your emotions and holding belief in the statement’s truth are crucial. Just like how Neville Goddard said, “The feeling is the secret,” you should feel the truth and possibility of your “I AM” statement to reinforce its effectiveness.
When crafting an “I AM” statement, ensure it aligns with your goals, values, and the changes you want to manifest in your life. Repeat these affirmations regularly to reinforce their impact on your mindset and behavior.
