How to Attend a Conference Like a Pro
I recently attended a conference where I met lots of great entrepreneurs and gathered some powerful takeaways that I will be incorporating into my #trep life. Being in the middle of all that super networking and business info led me to put together my list of How to Attend a Conference Like a Pro series, and I will be using these tips for all future conferences I attend.
Here is Tip #4:
Be Ready to Sell, But Don’t Try to Sell.  Don’t show up with the intention of getting a new customer, but always bring something that you can sell.  I know that reads like a contradiction, but the two statements are definitely not the same.  First, focus on learning what others do and share the same about yourself if the other person seems interested.  Listen for a request for the types of services you provide.  If you don’t hear anything, don’t make an unsolicited offer.  If you hear a request for something that matches what you do, let the person know you have the solution to their problem and it is available.
Do you have your own special routines and rituals that you use when attending conferences?  If you do, please share.  I’d love to add more to my list.

Stay Powered Up. If a power station is provided, take time to locate it before the conference starts. Bring along a portable battery charger to keep your devices going when you cannot plug them up. As a last resort try to arrive at your session early to get access to the outlets in the room. They get taken quickly. You will appreciate knowing you have access to power if you find yourself down to one bar on your device.
