Site #2:  Flickr: Creative Commons

Flickr: Creative Commons is a great site for royalty-free or Creative Commons images because it offers the work of its users. The images can be searched by their different types of licenses. All the images have been categorized by their types of Creative Commons licenses, which makes it easy to know which images are completely free or have licensing restrictions.

The Free Picture Pool is the best place to start for free photos.  It has more than 14,000 high-quality images that can be used for all types of creative projects.  The types of content include photos, videos, images, art, and screenshots — no adult content.  Searching for what you need is easy.  Just type in the search box to sort content by subject, color, style, etc.  Then use the drop-downs to also search by type of license.
