How to Attend a Conference Like a Pro

I recently attended a conference where I met lots of great entrepreneurs and gathered some powerful takeaways that I will be incorporating into my #trep life. Being in the middle of all that super networking and business info led me to put together my list of How to Attend a Conference Like a Pro series, and I will be using these tips for all future conferences I attend.

Here is Tip #2:

Use the Provided Event #Hashtags. The #PeriCON crowd is very social media and tech savvy. They know how use hashtags to start trending topics. Whenever you are provided hashtags, use them. This will help to increase the potential for the event to trend. Additionally, attendees use the conference hashtags to locate event posts to reshare and to follow each other. This is an opportunity for everyone to not only gain new followers, but to gain followers that share common interests.

You’d be surprised how many may recognize you from previous interactions interactions online or in person. Plus, this gives you a beeline path to the speaker once the session ends.
